Jul 16, 2010· One word of caution on shifting from forward to reverse on the flyming toplete stop on a 450 C dozer.They have a weak spot on the transmission casting back at the pinion bearing housing.The chamferd edge that holds the bearing away from the ring gear is only about an 1/8 inch thick .My buddy found this out the hard way

Apr 15, 2019· Small dremmel tool and a lot of patience moving the engine one tooth at a time with a pry bar and getting in there and cleaning up the teeth. Then I took the starter apart and relocated washers and shims to allow the starter gear to move towards the ring gear by maybe another 1/8 inch or more.

Mar 02, 2011· My JD 450B crawler/loader won't move. It stopped driving in either direction while lightly pushing a small bucket of dirt on level ground. Previous to that when we purchased the machine it seemed to lack the strong forward pushing power I expected, but everything worked.

Oct 01, 2020· I have an Oliver OC 9 and am need of assistance. Once I got the dozer off the trailer I drove it toward my property, I am able to steer it like a skid steer, I approached a small hill and it went up and then lost directional power, then it seemed to build pressure and after several runs up the hill I was able to get to the top.

Update. Just to answer a few questions I've been asked. The dozer stopped moving yesterday 9/15/20. It was not under any load when it quit. I was moving forward with the blade up to back drag, dropped the blade, shifted into reverse and it didn't move from there. Not even an attempt to move. Forward

Mar 05, 2013· #1 dozer stopped moving forward or backward on steep incline felt like gears dis engaged. was told to fill hydraulic fluid to mid level of window on right side of dozer. did that. worked fine, then later in the day same thing happened going forward on incline. rolled back and gears re engaged and off i went. hydraulic fluid at that point was not low if 1/2 way up the window is the proper

Jul 03, 2005· Drive one crawler forward and the other in reverse. After they travel a considerable distance, say 5000 miles, inspect the wear on the sprocket teeth and track bushings. Obviously, the wear will be on opposite sides of the teeth and bushingsparing the forward traveling crawler to the one traveling in reverse.
